FAQ

  • Is The Main Lodge Included For All Hunts?

Our Main Lodge is reserved only for our Trophy Hunt packages, Turkey Hunt Packages, and Quail Hunt Packages.

  • Do I need a Hunting License or Fishing License?

El Asilo Ranch Requires each participating hunter or fisherman to obtain and hold a valid and current Texas Hunting and Fishing License issued by Texas Parks and Wildlife. Although our hunting program utilizes MLD tags, Texas Parks and Wildlife REQUIRES ALL HUNTERS AND FISHERMAN TO BE LICENSED AT ALL TIMES. If you will not participate in fishing, you do NOT need a fishing license. The Texas Game Warden does occasionally do random checks on ranch property and will enforce all State laws regarding hunting and fishing. El Asilo Ranch is not responsible for any unlicensed hunters or fishermen. It is each guest’s responsibility to research and familiarize themselves with Texas State Law regarding hunting and fishing.

  • Can I bring family or extra guests?

Sufficient accommodations permitted, El Asilo Ranch can accommodate non-participating guests for an additional fee.

  • Where can I obtain a Texas Hunting or Fishing License?

We recommend visiting the Texas Parks and Wildlife website for information on obtaining your license and information on rules and regulations. Our local Wal-Mart, H-E-B, and Los Cazadores are great locations to stop by for your license prior to your arrival at the ranch.

  • What happens if my hunt is not successful at the end of the scheduled hunt?

In the unlikely event of an unsuccessful hunt, and if scheduling allows, additional days can be added for a fee.

  • Can a hunting package be extended?

Additional days can be added to each package at the time of booking at the same fee for additional days of hunting.
